UCW (United Church Women) - Back to Adults

Goals & Objectives:
To provide opportunities for women of the Church to develop Christian understanding, faith and experience through involvement and activities. To cultivate friendships, and unite the women of the Church.

How Do We Do That?
Each group meets once-a-month for fellowship, worship and a programme. The programme could be a speaker, a service project, (e.g. sewing, preparing for an event), or sharing and discussion.

Three times a year, all the groups meet together for dessert and refreshments and a meeting to discuss our accomplishments over the past quarter.

Some of our activities include; reaching out to others through flowers and cards, organizing a yearly Rummage Sale and Flower Sale for our community and hosting a roast beef dinner and auction called “Bids ‘n’ Bites.”

Funds we raise go to support missions in our community and in the wider world. We help to send several of our Ryerson family on mission trips with Medical Ministry International. We also donate funds to the work of our church.
