Peter interpreted the Call he received from the Lord at the age of 19 to be for ministry in general, and this was lived out primarily in Youth Work for many years.  During those years of youth ministry (with two different placements on Canada’s West Coast), the Lord’s Calling was further refined and clarified to be toward Pastoral Ministry.  Thus the sojourn at Emmanuel College so that, 19 years after his original call, Peter was ordained in 1995 by Hamilton Conference.

Peter interned in Harrow, ON, was settled in Cape North, Cape Breton Island for 3 years, and has come to Ryerson from Cayuga United Church where he has ministered for the last 11 years.

Rev. Peter enjoys international ministry.  His youth work took him to Haiti, and  Honduras.  Since 2004, he has preached and taught in Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda in various contexts.

Peter’s wife Dale is an elementary school teacher in Cayuga, Haldimand County. One son, Steve, studies at Wilfrid Laurier University, the other, Jim, is in High School.
